It's been a long time since I've posted anything here at Vintage Life. But we've been doing a lot of work on our website and we have many new products to show you.

First of all, there's the second edition of Lauren Rennell's "Vintage Hairstyling". This is a great book that shows you how to do a variety of retro hairstyles. The coolest thing about this book is that it assumes no prior knowledge. Never made a pincurl before? No problem. Lauren will show you step-by-step how to do it. Got really modern hair? Again, not a big deal. All the models have modern hairstyles before Lauren goes to work on them.
Here's a link to the product page for the book:

Next, we sourced seam-backed stockings in two varieties, regular and ultra-sheer, and two sizes, medium and large, for your Vintage Lifers. We even met a man who worked for the Victory Knitting Mills in New Jersey before the War. That's one of the places who introduced nylon stockings! And he pronounced our stockings as close to the originals as he could imagine! So go stock up on stockings:

And then we contracted with Rago Shapewear, who have been making undergarments for just that long, and started carrying their girdles and garter belts and waist cinchers. Have a look:

And we're currently working with some bespoke tailors on producing vintage-look men's suits and sportwear. Always wanted a p[air of plus-fours? Well, now you know where to get them!

And we're combing the estate sales, looking for real vintage products for your pleasure.

This Autumn, we will be adding more and more items to help you live your Vintage Life. Link to Reconstructing History and watch us grow!
